What is Career Explorer?
Career Explorer is your career guidance platform, accessible directly from your Career Center. Developed in collaboration with academic researchers in psychology, it helps you build self-awareness, identify your skills, explore the job market, and successfully navigate your applications (internships, work-study programs, first jobs).
1. How to access Career Explorer?
No additional password or external registration is required!
- Log in to your JobTeaser Career Center using your usual institutional credentials.
- In the navigation menu, click the Toolbox tab.
- Click Career Explorer to access your dedicated space directly.
Don't see Career Explorer in your Toolbox?
This is completely normal! The activation of the Career Explorer platform depends on each institution. If the option does not appear in your space, it simply means that your university or school has not enabled this module in its Career Center. If you would like to benefit from it, feel free to mention it to your institution's career or guidance services!
2. What content is available?
You will find two types of content on your platform:
- JobTeaser career guidance modules: a catalog of 17 interactive modules (representing approximately 40 hours of training in total) divided into 5 core themes (self-awareness, job market, networking, interviews, etc.). You can complete them freely and at your own pace.
- Tailored pathways from your institution: courses designed specifically by your faculty or career service to meet the requirements of your degree or field of study. If your institution has enrolled you in a specific pathway, it will appear directly on your dashboard.
💡 Note: The creation of these custom pathways depends on your institution's academic framework. If your school or university has not created a tailored pathway, that is completely normal! You retain full and unlimited access to JobTeaser's 17 career guidance modules to progress independently.
3. How to complete a pathway or a module?
To ensure a module is marked as "Completed" in your progress tracking, please make sure to meet the following criteria for each item:
- Text pages: stay on the page for at least 5 seconds.
- Videos: watch at least 90% of the video duration.
- Quizzes: answer all questions in the quiz.
- Practical exercises: download and review the self-reflection worksheets in PDF format.
4. What should you do with your summaries and action plans?
At the end of each module, you can download a PDF summary sheet containing key takeaways as well as your personal reflections.
💡 Our advice: keep these sheets safe! They will be very useful when preparing for appointments with a career advisor at your institution, structuring your CV, or getting ready for upcoming job interviews.
❓ Need help? (FAQ)
- You cannot see the tailored pathway mentioned by your professor or career service? Check with your academic lead to confirm that your institutional email address has been added to the pathway enrollment list.
- Content is not loading properly? Try clearing your browser cache, disabling your ad blockers, or opening Career Explorer in an incognito browser window.
- You cannot complete or validate a module? Each module activity includes minimum completion criteria that must be satisfied:
- Text content: you must stay on the page for at least 5 seconds.
- Video content: at least 90% of the video must be watched.
- Quizzes: all quiz questions must be answered.
- Interactive exercises: downloadable PDF worksheets or exercises must be opened or validated as required by the module structure.
